Compare the products and tell us what you think.	In 1997, OnSite PRO President, Scott Walter had a flood in his home when his washing machine did not stop filling with water. This very common component failure allowed water to flow into his home for three hours. After the repair, Scott looked for a product that would stop this from happening again. At that time, there were no such products. Since the development of FloodStop, others have come and gone but FloodStop remains the best seller and best product in this market. Here is why we believe this is true.

~~Water Alerts Only:~~ (will not shut off water)	Usually battery powered, and offers no protection if you are not at home. This product would not have saved Scott's home.

~~Automatic Valves that Sense When Water is Needed:~~ (will not shut off water during cycle)	These types of products are better than simple alerts but the valves are noisy and offer no protection during the wash cycle. Since they don't have water sensors, they do not know when an appliance is leaking during the cycle. This product would not have saved Scott's home.

~~Flow Meters~~ (will not shut off water soon enough)	Usually expensive, these products are not good protectors, because they mandate a home not use over a certain amount of water at one time. How much water is too much... 20, 30 a 100 gallons? That is a lot of water when it is flowing into your living room or down your stairs. This product would not have saved Scott's home.

~~Check Valve Style Hoses~~ (will not shut off water from any small leak)	These products only protect your home from the catastrophic flood that happens when the supply hose is completely cut or broken. What about the most common pinhole leak? What about the clogged drain? What about the 100s of other things that can cause water to flow at less than maximum flow? None of these examples would be stopped and water damage would result. This product would not have saved Scott's home.

~~Whole House Systems~~ (Too expensive)	These products are good but are usually very expensive. These can cost $800-1200, with installation and enough extra sensors to completely protect your home.
